Having ‘reinvented’ myself three times in my working life I’ve opted for dairy farming after having worked on the family farm. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of the job and variety that is brings… and being a morning person I don’t seem to have have an issue with the early starts… it’s a curse actually..
I’m currently sharemilking 400 crossbred cows in Te Poi near Matamata in the Waikato. I have the standard farm ‘hobby’ of fishing, but with perhaps two other different goals than most:
- dining at a Michelin Star restaurant
- attending the PBR World Championship Bull Riding in Las Vegas
